Dr. Franz Rothe

Professor, Mathematician, Musician, and Author.

Dr. Franz Rothe embarked on his educational journey in Karlsruhe, culminating in high school completion. His academic pursuits extended to mathematics, physics, and music, leading to a diploma in mathematics at E T H Zurich, followed by a Ph.D. from Tübingen, Germany.

 

Dr. Rothe’s career reached new heights with a prestigious professorship at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he made substantial contributions to his field.

In addition to his scholarly achievements, he is an accomplished musician, collaborating with pianist Thomas Turner to create a captivating classical music repertoire for flute and piano, releasing three CDs, including their own transcriptions.

In retirement, Dr. Rothe continues to share his passion for mathematics through insightful book authorship, and he has also discovered a love for writing for leisure, further enriching his multifaceted life.
